Invest In Your Confidence with Dental Implants

Did you know that dental implants can solve your problem of missing teeth? And, unlike dentures or partials, you won’t experience problems with slipping or sliding, and they don’t require a specialized daily care routine beyond regular brushing and flossing.

Your Permanent Smile Solution

For many people, missing teeth only present a cosmetic problem, which is a fair concern. Missing teeth carry a stigma, and people with missing teeth may find themselves unfairly judged in many social settings. Unfortunately, the problem of missing teeth goes beyond cosmetics. It can put additional stress on your remaining teeth and lead to damage, including fractures and even further tooth loss!

What is even more concerning is that one or more missing teeth can eventually lead to significant bone loss in your jaw as the tissue wastes away from lack of use. Over time, this diminishing bone can lead to visible changes in your face and cause you to appear prematurely aged. Luckily, we can use dental implants in Monroe Township to help you stop this process in its tracks—something that even dentures and partials cannot do.

The Benefits

  • They appear the most lifelike and natural.
  • Implants include titanium, a strong, biocompatible metal.
  • They are the most secure and stable solution.
  • They can prevent bone loss, keeping your jaw tissue.

Are Implants Right for You?

While most healthy adults are eligible for dental implants, some health conditions can change their effectiveness. When you visit our office, we’ll ask you a number of questions about your health history, all of which are important to help us determine whether dental implants are the right option for you.

Don’t worry—even if you do have a health concern, we are likely to still work with you. We just need to be made aware so that we can account for it and take any necessary precautions.

The Start-to-Finish Journey of Your Implants

Before starting the process, Dr. Klein will perform a full examination, including X-rays. Because the implant is attached directly to your jaw, we need to know the condition of your bone. Even if these X-rays show that your jaw bone is not suitable, you could be a candidate for grafts and other procedures to build it up and set you up for implants.

If you are a candidate, we’ll move forward with placing the titanium posts needed for your implants to be placed. Once you have healed sufficiently, you may receive a temporary crown over the implant while we wait for your permanent crown to return from the dental lab. Once the permanent crown has returned, you will return to our office to have it placed. The fit and appearance will be checked, and your implant will be complete!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do implants need any special care?

Dental implants are meant to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, and, as a result, they can be brushed and flossed as you would with your regular teeth! While implants never get cavities (and never need root canals), you still want to continue brushing and flossing to keep your natural teeth and gums healthy.

How much do dental implants cost?

While dental implants do tend to cost more than bridges or dentures, they are also the most lifelike, stable, and functional replacement, closely mimicking the appearance and function of your natural teeth. They also last longer, which can save you money in the long run. Call our office today to schedule your consultation and receive a quotation.

Is this surgery painful?

While the idea of surgery might seem daunting, our modern techniques will make your surgery a relatively painless procedure. We also place implants under local anesthesia, which numbs the area being treated to ensure you remain comfortable throughout.

Can I eat after my surgery?

Following your surgery, you'll need to follow a soft food diet to give your mouth time to heal. This involves liquids, soups, yogurt, and mashed potatoes. As your mouth heals, you can gradually introduce more solid foods, but we still recommend avoiding chewing directly on the implant site.
