Full & Partial Dentures

Take Your Smile From Damaged to Dazzling

Missing teeth shouldn’t hold you back

Missing teeth can have a major impact, not only on your confidence but also on your health! The gaps can cause the rest of your teeth to shift, which leads to misalignment and bite issues. This can further complicate oral hygiene, making it easier for plaque to build up and increasing the risk of gum disease and tooth decay. Dr. Klein knows how important it is to address missing teeth and is ready to assist with full or partial dentures to get your smile back to its best.

What Are Dentures?

Dentures are removable prosthetic devices that help replace missing teeth and the surrounding tissues. You can think of them as custom-made solutions that help you bring back your smile and improve your ability to eat and speak. However, there are two types: complete and partial. Which you will need will depend on the damage to your teeth and which are missing.

Explore Your Options

Complete dentures are best suited for patients who have lost all of their teeth. We offer conventional dentures which are made after your gums have healed from the trauma, which can take a few months. Our team also offers the fitting of immediate dentures, which are ready to be used right after your teeth are removed (so you do not have to go toothless while you heal).

Partial dentures are for patients who still have some natural teeth. These come with a gum-colored base and the necessary replacement teeth. These not only fill in the gaps but also prevent your other teeth from shifting around.

Determining which dentures you need comes down to a few key factors about your oral health and the condition of your teeth. If you have lost all or most of your teeth in your upper or lower jaw, full dentures will probably be the best choice. On the other hand, if you still have some healthy teeth left, we can create a custom partial denture to fill in the gaps. We also consider the health of your gums and jawbone to ensure they are strong enough to support your denture. Dr. Klein also takes the time to understand your preferences and lifestyle to choose the option that’s best for you. Each case is unique, but together, we will find the right solution for your smile.

Why An Experienced Dentist is Your Best Friend

There’s nothing more frustrating than having something about your teeth feel off. If they slip around when you talk or feel awful on your gums when you chew, something is wrong. While dentures are a fantastic option for restoring your smile, it is important to have a dentist you can trust on your side. One like Dr. Klein, who is experienced and comfortable in taking on your case and ensuring a perfect fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are dentures uncomfortable to wear?

No, not necessarily! Most of our patients experience an adjustment period, but we do our best to make sure your dentures are snug but comfortable. If you experience any discomfort, don't hesitate to reach out to us for adjustments.

Help! My dentures have broken. Can they be repaired?

It depends on the severity of the break. Minor cracks or chips might be repairable, however, a new set may be needed if the break is severe. If your denture has broken, call our office as soon as possible for a consultation to assess the damage and advise you on the best way forward.

Where should dentures be stored?

When you're not wearing your dentures, they need a cool, moist place to rest. We recommend that our patients fill a denture bath with water and a denture cleanser. Do not use regular soap or hot water.

Is getting dentures better than an implant?

There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Both restorative options have their pros and cons. Dentures are removable and generally less expensive upfront but determining the best option will depend on your needs and preferences.

How long should you wear your dentures each day?

Dentures are not all-day, everyday solutions. Generally, we recommend that our patients wear their dentures for around 8 to 12 hours a day and give their gums a chance to breathe at night. Taking them out at night also gives you a chance to give them a thorough clean.
